Texas BBQ with Chipotle Burger

Texas BBQ burger featured recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2lbsGround Chuck (80%- 85% Lean Beef)
  • 4Kaiser Rolls or Hamburger Buns, split and toasted.

Preparation

Toppings such as
Cheddar Cheese: 4 slices. (Each about 1 oz.)
Lettuce, shredded: 4 pieces
Tomato slices
Sweet pickle chips or any favorite pickle will do

Making Burgers
Sprinkle seasoning on to ground meat and gently mix in.
Form 4 burgers of equal size.
With your thumb or spoon, make a shallow indentation in the center of the burgers.
Burgers tend to puff up in the middle as they cook making it awkward to add toppings.
This step helps to avoid this.
Refrigerate burgers until ready to grill.

Preparing the Grill and Cooking
Prepare the grill for direct cooking over medium-high heat (400 to 500 degrees F.)
Grill burgers over direct medium – high heat with lid closed, until cooked to medium doneness (160 degrees F.), 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. (4-5 minutes per side.)
Place a slice of cheese on each burger to melt.
Toast the buns, cut side down, over direct heat.

Making your burger
You can add any fixings you’d like. Your latest favorite cheese,
cole slaw, pickles, BBQ sauce etc. Enjoy!

As a Seasoning Rub
Use 1 Tbsp. per 1 lb. of Meat.

As a Marinade
Add 2 Tbsp. with ¼ cup water or ¼ cup vegetable oil per 2 lbs. of meat or seafood.

Use to make flavorful burgers or ground meat skewers
Use 1 Tbsp. per 1 lb. of meat.
